These terms apply when you use beautyproductreviews.org. By using the site, you agree to them; if you don't, please don't use it. "We" and "us" mean Beauty Product Reviews.
Our content
Our reviews, scores, guides, ingredient guides, Benefit Wheel, writing and design belong to Beauty Product Reviews or the people we license them from. You're welcome to read, link to and quote short passages from our pages with credit and a link. Please don't copy whole reviews, republish our scores in bulk, or present our work as your own. Product names, logos and images belong to their owners, and creator videos belong to their creators.
Scores are opinions
Our scores and recommendations are editorial opinions based on published ingredient lists and specifications, verified creator reviews, community feedback and value. We don't lab-test products or personally try every product we list. Prices, ingredient lists, shade ranges and availability change, and brands reformulate, so check the label and the retailer before you buy. How we score explains our method.
No medical advice
Nothing on Beauty Product Reviews is medical advice, and that includes our articles, ingredient guides and posts from community members. Cosmetics aren't intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent disease, and claims that a product helps with acne, eczema, rosacea, pigmentation or hair loss are the brands' claims, which we report rather than endorse. Skin reacts differently from person to person: patch test new products, follow the label, and stop using anything that causes a reaction. For persistent, painful or worrying skin, scalp or hair concerns, or if you're pregnant, breastfeeding, using prescription treatments or taking medication, talk to a board-certified dermatologist or other doctor before starting a new product.
Beauty tools and devices, including hot tools and LED masks, should be used as the manufacturer directs. Follow the manufacturer's safety instructions, including any eye-protection and temperature guidance.
Affiliate links and other sites
We earn commissions from some links, as explained in our affiliate disclosure. When you buy something, you're buying from that retailer, not from us. Orders, shipping, returns, warranties and product safety are between you, the retailer and the manufacturer. We aren't responsible for the content or policies of other sites.
Your account
You must be at least 13 to create an account, or older if the law where you live requires it. One account per person. Keep your sign-in details safe, because you're responsible for activity on your account. You can ask us to delete it at any time through the contact form on our contact page.
Community content
You own what you post, including threads, replies, ratings and benefit logs. By posting, you give Beauty Product Reviews a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, reproduce, format and distribute it on the site and in features built from it, such as community ratings and Benefit Wheel heat maps, and to quote it with your username in The Glow Edit newsletter or our social posts. This license ends when you or we delete the content, except for newsletters already sent and backups that expire on their own.
You're responsible for what you post. Share only what you have the right to share, including photos, and keep it honest: ratings and benefit logs should reflect your own experience.
Acceptable use
Don't use Beauty Product Reviews to:
- break the law or infringe anyone's rights, including copyright and privacy;
- harass, threaten or impersonate anyone, or post hateful or sexual content;
- post spam, undisclosed promotion, or votes and ratings from multiple accounts;
- share other people's personal information;
- give medical advice or claim that a product treats, cures or prevents a disease;
- upload malware or try to get into accounts or systems that aren't yours;
- overload the site with automated requests or get around rate limits, Turnstile or other security measures.
Our community guidelines explain these rules in more detail. We may remove content, or suspend or close accounts, that break these terms or the guidelines.
Copyright complaints
If you believe something on the site infringes your copyright, send us the details through the contact form on our contact page: the work, where it appears on our site, and how to reach you. We'll review it promptly and remove material that infringes.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
We provide Beauty Product Reviews as is. We work hard to be accurate, but we don't guarantee that the site is free of errors, always available, or that any product will suit your skin or hair or meet your expectations.
To the fullest extent the law allows, Beauty Product Reviews isn't liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from your use of the site, including losses from a purchase you made or a product you used after reading it. Our total liability for any claim relating to the site is limited to 100 US dollars. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, or rights you have as a consumer that can't be waived.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws that apply where the owner of Beauty Product Reviews is based, and any dispute will be handled under the applicable law of that jurisdiction. Before bringing a claim, please contact us so we can try to resolve it informally. If the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim in your local courts, these terms don't take that away.
Changes
We may update these terms. When we do, we'll change the date at the top and post a notice on the site for significant changes. If you keep using the site after a change, the updated terms apply.
