The verdict
A glossy, soft-focus liquid highlighter with a cushion tip; a luxury glow at a luxury price per milliliter.
Charlotte Tilbury's Beauty Light Wand is a liquid highlighter and, in some shades, blush, dispensed through a cushion applicator that twists shut. The original Spotlight shade is a rose-gold, pearlescent highlighter with a high-gloss, soft-focus finish and no visible glitter, according to the brand. Six shades are sold in the US, from Spotlight and Goldgasm to the Pinkgasm and Peachgasm blush wands. Creator reviews and tutorials focus on the quick dot-and-blend application; the $44 price for 12 ml is the main drawback.

How it scored
Five factors, weighted for makeup. Here’s our working.
Beauty score out of 10. Brands can’t pay for placement — ever.
The brand promises a high-gloss, soft-focus glow without visible glitter, and creator reviews and tutorials center on the easy dot-and-blend cushion application.
The brand describes a long-lasting glow that layers over makeup, but publishes no hour claim and creators report little long-wear testing.
Six US shades split between highlighter and blush tones, with no options designed specifically for very fair or very deep skin highlighting.
$44 for 12 ml is a luxury price for a liquid highlighter when many drugstore liquid highlighters cost a fraction of that.
A full-range shade comparison and repeated single-shade reviews show steady creator interest, and the brand calls it a social media sensation.

When I tested the Light Wand, I found the application beautiful – it’s a kind of cream/gel hybrid which glides over the skin so you can get a wonderful diffusion.
Initially, it leaves a lovely gleam on the skin but that fades down over time and I did notice that it leaves little sparkles behind.

FAQ
Both, depending on the shade. Spotlight and Goldgasm are highlighters, while Pinkgasm and Peachgasm are sold as blush wands with a glow finish.
Charlotte Tilbury's US page lists the Spotlight wand's fill as 12 ml, priced at $44.
The brand's method is to dot the cushion applicator onto the cheekbones, brow bone and cupid's bow, then blend with a brush. Twist the applicator closed after use so it does not leak.
