The verdict
A cult tubing mascara that lengthens and holds curl, then rinses off with warm water, in eight shades at $26.
Liquid Lash Extensions is Thrive Causemetics' best-selling tubing mascara: a water-resistant polymer formula that wraps each lash in tubes the brand says lengthen without clumping, flaking or smudging, then slide off with warm water. It costs $26 for 0.38 oz, comes in eight shades and is vegan, Leaping Bunny certified and ophthalmologist tested. Repeat buyers on Reddit praise the length and curl hold. The caveats are fast drying that makes second coats clumpy, a few flaking reports and cheaper drugstore tubing rivals.

How it scored
Five factors, weighted for makeup. Here’s our working.
Beauty score out of 10. Brands can’t pay for placement — ever.
Creator reviews film before-and-after length, Thrive's 34-person consumer study reports instant lengthening and lift, and r/Makeup users with straight lashes say it holds curl, though it builds more length than volume.
The tubing film is water-resistant and smudge-proof, which Reddit users confirm, though one long-time user reports recent flaking and the brand does not sell it as waterproof.
Eight shades, from rich black and brown-black to charcoal grey, berry brown, navy, green, purple and blue, is a wide range for a mascara.
$26 for 0.38 oz is fair next to prestige mascaras, but drugstore tubing formulas that creators such as Jen Phelps call dupes cost much less.
It is one of the most-named answers in 2026 r/Makeup threads about mascaras people repurchase, while a minority say it straightens their lashes or that cheaper tubing mascaras now match it.

Thrive Causemetics Liquid Lash Extensions!!!! I also have blonde lashes and this mascara will do you justice-and it’s buildable! I have put so many friends and coworkers on-there is truly nothing like it and it is worth every penny.
Thrive Causemetics tubing mascara is the only one that works and holds curl for my straight lashes. Have tried many others and keep coming back to it.
My go to is Thrive Liquid Lash Extensions mascara. It never smudges and removes easily. I have stubby, thin lashes and this stuff works! A couple tricks when using: do not put on a second coat because it dries quickly and the second coat will just clump, so get it right the first coat.
Thrive Causemetics liquid lash extender. It's been the best tubing mascara so far. But recently I've noticed it starting to flake off which is really unusual. They must have changed the formula.
Thrive tubing mascara...pulls my lashes so straight, you can't see I have lashes looking directly at me, as you can only see the tip, and I have pretty long lashes!

FAQ
Thrive says the tubes slide off with warm water and a washcloth using a gentle downward-sweeping motion, so no eye makeup remover is needed. A cleanser or makeup remover also works.
Thrive calls it water-resistant rather than waterproof. The brand says it holds up through rain, sweat and tears, yet loosens when soaked with warm water.
Thrive says the mascara is dermatologist and ophthalmologist tested and clinically shown to be gentle enough for sensitive eyes and safe for contact lens wearers.
The brand site lists eight shades at $26: Brynn (Rich Black), Crystal (Brown Black), Whitney (Charcoal Grey), Nola (Classic Blue), Elena (Berry Brown), Oceanne (Deep Navy), Ivy (Deep Green) and Iris (Deep Purple).
