The verdict
An FDA-cleared red, blue and infrared LED mask with built-in under-eye cooling; reviewers love the chill, but the rigid shell is bulky.
The CryoGlow (FW312) is Shark's first LED mask: a rigid mask with 480 LEDs in red, blue and infrared, short 4–8 minute routines on an attached remote, and InstaChill under-eye cooling. FDA cleared it in November 2024 (510(k) K242796) for fine lines and wrinkles and mild-to-moderate inflammatory acne. TechRadar, Tom's Guide and Who What Wear single out the cooling and ease of use. Testers call the shell bulky and poor for travel, and TechRadar found its results moderate for the price.

How it scored
Five factors, weighted for tools and devices. Here’s our working.
Tool score out of 10. Brands can’t pay for placement — ever.
FDA cleared it for wrinkles and inflammatory acne; TechRadar saw fewer breakouts and less puffiness over two months but called the results moderate, while Tom's Guide and Who What Wear were more enthusiastic.
A rigid, cushioned shell with a 2-year limited warranty, but TechRadar flags short battery life and a bulky, inflexible design that is hard to pack.
Routines last 4 to 8 minutes and are chosen and timed on the remote, though testers describe the mask as hefty and best used while sitting still.
At $349.99 it costs less than the $455 DRx SpectraLite FaceWare Pro and the $469.99 CurrentBody Series 2 while adding under-eye cooling.
Creators have posted follow-ups at eight months and a full year, TechRadar, Tom's Guide and Who What Wear all recommend it, and Shark cites Circana data ranking it the top-selling US skincare facial device.

How to use
Charge the mask, put it on and pick a routine on the remote: Better Aging (6 minutes), Skin Clearing (8 minutes), Skin Sustain (4 minutes) or the LED-free Under-Eye Revive cooling session (5–15 minutes); Shark's study results come from once-daily use.

For me, easily the most effective part has been the InstaChill under-eye cooling.
However, it's still a big investment for moderate results, and I can only anecdotally say it had a slightly noticeable effect on my skin.
Yes, it's hefty and relatively expensive, but LED face masks are only worth it if they really work, and the Shark CryoGlow works.
Sometimes, the chill pads leave marks after my treatments, but it's nothing a quick massage with eye cream won't fix.

FAQ
Yes. FDA's 510(k) database lists CryoGlow (FW3XXXX) from SharkNinja under K242796, cleared on November 27, 2024. The cleared indications are fine lines and wrinkles (red and infrared light) and mild-to-moderate inflammatory acne (red, blue and infrared), for over-the-counter use.
Shark lists Better Aging at 6 minutes, Skin Clearing at 8 minutes and Skin Sustain at 4 minutes. The Under-Eye Revive cooling session uses no LEDs and runs 5 to 15 minutes at one of three chill levels.
Shark reports a 12-week, 60-person study of daily Better Aging use with 24% less fine-line visibility and 20% firmer skin, and a 12-week, 59-person Skin Clearing study with 45% less acne. These are brand-run studies; individual results vary.
Not especially. TechRadar found the rigid mask bulky and inflexible to pack and noted it can't go in checked baggage because of its lithium-ion battery.
