The verdict
Charlotte Tilbury's sheer, illuminating glow booster in 12 shades, the $50 benchmark that budget liquid-filter dupes are compared with.
Hollywood Flawless Filter is Charlotte Tilbury's liquid complexion booster, designed to be worn alone, under or mixed with foundation, or on top as a highlighter. It gives sheer, illuminating coverage with glossy oil, smoothing polymers, finely milled powders and porcelain flower extract, and the brand claims up to 24 hours of moisture. It comes in 12 shades. The main caveats are the $50 price for 30 ml and a crowded field of cheaper look-alikes such as e.l.f.'s Halo Glow Liquid Filter.

How it scored
Five factors, weighted for makeup. Here’s our working.
Beauty score out of 10. Brands can’t pay for placement — ever.
Creator reviews and Reddit users praise its glow, though Eboni Elon found it does little under foundation and works best alone or on top.
Charlotte Tilbury claims up to 24 hours of moisture but makes no long-wear claims, and one Reddit user found it looked patchy after about five hours despite primer, powder and setting spray.
Twelve shades from Fair to Deep is reasonable for a sheer glow product but narrower than e.l.f.'s 15-shade rival.
At $50 for 30 ml it costs more than three times e.l.f. Halo Glow Liquid Filter, which creators often find similar.
Charlotte Tilbury cites it as the top-selling prestige highlighter in the US and UK and Reddit users name it a signature product, though some say it is not worth the money.

For liquids I love the Lisa Eldridge and the ct Hollywood flawless filter
ct flawless filter does look amazing but i find it doesn't hold up very long. looks amazing maybe first 5 hrs then it'll get patchy even with a good primer + setting powder + setting spray combo.
haven’t heard good things about the CT hollywood flawless filter tho. i wanted to buy it too but was told not to cuz it’s apparently not worth the money.

FAQ
Charlotte Tilbury suggests four ways: alone for fresh radiance, under foundation as a glow primer, mixed with foundation for a dewy finish, or over foundation as a highlighter on the cheekbones, nose and Cupid's bow.
No. The brand describes it as a complexion booster with sheer, illuminating coverage that blurs and smooths. It is not designed to cover blemishes the way a foundation does.
The US site lists 12 shades grouped from Fair through Medium and Tan to Deep. Shade 1 Fair, for example, is described as a neutral beige for fair skin.
Many creators compare the two side by side and find a similar glowy effect. e.l.f.'s version costs $15 for 1.06 fl oz against $50 for Charlotte Tilbury's 30 ml.
