The verdict
A dewy serum skin tint with 12% zinc oxide SPF 40 in 30 shades, made with sensitive skin in mind; coverage is light.
Super Serum Skin Tint SPF 40 combines a light-coverage tint with broad-spectrum mineral sunscreen (12% zinc oxide) and skincare ingredients including niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, squalane and allantoin. ILIA describes a silicone-free, fragrance-free serum with a dewy finish in 30 shades, safe for sensitive skin and non-comedogenic. It suits dry and sensitive skin that wants an easy base with SPF. Maryam Maquillage's oily, acne-prone wear test frames it as a reality check on the hype, and some Reddit users dislike its smell.

How it scored
Five factors, weighted for makeup. Here’s our working.
Beauty score out of 10. Brands can’t pay for placement — ever.
Creators such as Amanda Speroni call it a daily favorite for a fresh, dewy base, while others test whether the viral hype holds up on oily, acne-prone skin.
ILIA claims 24-hour hydration but makes no long-wear or transfer-resistance claims, and its FAQ suggests a separate finishing powder for a less dewy finish on oily and combination skin.
Thirty shades with cool, neutral, warm and olive undertones from Skye ST.5 to Lovina ST19 is broad for a skin tint.
At $48 for 1.0 oz it is prestige-priced, though it combines a tint, skincare ingredients and mineral SPF 40 in one step.
Reddit users with sensitive skin call it a repeat purchase they have not bettered, while others dislike its smell or have switched to rivals such as Ciele.

I don’t have rosacea, but I have insanely sensitive skin that tends to lean red. I absolutely love the Ilia super serum skin tint. It’s one of the very few things I’ve repurchased multiple times. I’ve tried so so many and I’ve yet to find anything better.
I like ilia skin tint. Fyi has some smell (goes away quickly) but otherwise really beautiful light to medium coverage finish. I have sensitive combo dry skin and this tint is amazing.
Ilia because the smell of the tint traumatized me for life
I used to be until I tried Ciele. I won’t ever go back to Ilia skin tint.
