The verdict
A $12.99 cushion-tip concealer with medium coverage and 18 shades, long a drugstore favorite for brightening under-eyes.
Instant Age Rewind Eraser is Maybelline's multi-use concealer with a twist-up cushion sponge applicator, sold in the US as the Dark Circles Concealer + Treatment. The brand promises medium coverage with a natural finish and up to 12 hours of hydrating, crease-resistant wear, with a peptide complex it calls Haloxyl aimed at the look of dark circles. It comes in 18 shades plus 4 color correctors at $12.99. The fuzzy sponge tip divides users, and some report creasing.

How it scored
Five factors, weighted for makeup. Here’s our working.
Beauty score out of 10. Brands can’t pay for placement — ever.
Maybelline promises medium coverage with a natural finish, Reddit users call it top notch for under-eyes, and Susan Yara tested it head to head with NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer.
Maybelline claims up to 12 hours of moisturizing, crease-resistant wear, but its FAQ notes it is not waterproof and at least one Reddit user found it creased easily.
Eighteen concealer shades plus four color correctors is wide for the drugstore but narrower than prestige ranges such as NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer's 30.
At $12.99 for 0.2 fl oz it costs roughly a third of the prestige concealers it is compared with.
A long-running bestseller with several reviews above 100,000 views and frequent drugstore repurchase mentions, while the fuzzy sponge applicator draws the most complaints.

the concealers and the foundations are top notch for under eye area. It’s a very silky lightweight yet has coverage feel. I don’t use the sponge applicator tho. I dab it on and use a brush.
redesign the whole Maybelline age rewind eraser's packaging. What's with the fuzzy applicator that gets messy?? Please, anything else.
The Maybelline instant age rewind eraser concealer - creased really easily on me

FAQ
Yes. Maybelline's US site sells the same sponge-tip concealer under the Dark Circles Concealer + Treatment name, while the page title calls it the Multi-Use Concealer. Ulta lists it as the Dark Circle Treatment Concealer in a 0.2 oz size.
Maybelline says to twist the applicator in the direction of the arrows until concealer appears, then apply directly and blend outward. Clean it by wiping off excess product with a dry tissue and don't wet the sponge, which the brand says has an antimicrobial system.
Maybelline lists 18 concealer shades plus 4 color correctors. Its FAQ suggests shades such as 95, 110 and 121 for cool skin tones, 100, 120 and 130 for neutral, and 115, 141 and 148 for warm; go slightly darker to contour or lighter to highlight.
No. Maybelline says it has twelve hours of staying power but is not waterproof, and recommends a primer underneath and setting spray on top for longer wear.
